This product makes part of the planner Collection “Navy Blush”; “Navy Blush” is my second Planner Collection from 2016 production and I hope you will love it. This time I worked on a modern feminine theme; On the shades of blue navy and pink blush. The striped decoration is very fashionable and elegant and I love it so much!! It is included a detailed booklet with instructions to print and cut with Silhouette Cameo Cutting Machine.
If you missed the FOCUS Article on what planners are for, you find it here.
Planning things sounds very natural to me. I plan everything! I carry my agenda/planner everywhere: I take notes, record appointments, sketch designs and or projects, write lists (tons of to-do lists); I even can’t remember when I started to do. Maybe I was 8, at the primary school, when my teacher saw me taking notes on my book and she was amazed. To me it was just a normal behaviour: if I wanted to remember exactly the focus points of the lesson I would do better to take a note. By this settings you may easily understand my passion for planners and stationery stuff. If I want to buy a souvenir, I go to look for a pen or a special pencil. Maybe a diary or something like that. I’m a convulsive hunter of stationery treasures.
A few years ago the planner-mania came into the digiscrap world. The spreading was easy given to the developing of hybrid projects like printables and cutting files. Now designers can design their own inserts: imagine the amazingness! One year ago I started making my Planner Collections too. Though not everyone is familiar with planners and how to use them and what are they for. First of all you should keep in mind that planners help you taking notes and planning things. That’s why they’re sort of tables and schemes with calendars and spaces to write notes. You may write the list of goodies you are going to grab from the supermarket, for example. Or maybe you want to write a WISH LIST, listing all the stuff you wish for the year, or for the month. You may list the books you wanna read or plan your diet, listing all the meals for each day of the week.
I am sure you got the sense! So, as scrapper, you should think at Planner Collections as a huge hybrid Bundle where to find sheets to print and add to your planner binder.
APRIL PLANNER: My Birthday
This is my fourth Planner collection of the year, April. I chose a “birthday-party-tea” theme because on April I will turn 32. This kind of collection is hybrid because it includes the traditional scrap kit (elements and papers) and also all those printable stuff like tabs, word bits, stickers, inserts and so on. So, you may use the kit as usual, to make your own layouts for the web or for the print, or you may integrate the kit to your Planner projects. Let’s suppose you want to customize a insert: you will use the embellishments and papers from the kit to do that.
The first thing you will do is printing the inserts and you will choose the format of the your binder: A5? A4? It’s up to you. My planner collections include always 4 formats: A4 – A5 – Personal and Heidi Swapp format. Watch the video below for a quick demostration of the workflow.
PRINT and Decorate
I printed A4 inserts and I decorated them with the stickers, word bits and other stuff from the printables. The inserts of this Planner may be used for all the months of the year and for all the years. The only exception is for inserts of Month Covers, because they show the April 2017 calendar. All the rest of inserts may be used for all the months, because they are generic and have generic calendars (from Monday to Sunday or from Sunday to Saturday); You may customize them by adding the day number on your own. The inserts pack includes also a numbers sheet to print and cut.
BLOCKS: How to use them!
The block set includes both square and circle blocks. The square blocks are to decorate the month planner. You may paste them exactly on each block of the insert. The circle blocks are for decorate the Week Cover instead.
The TABS: use them to specify TASKS!
I really hope you enyoyed this article. For any additional information do not hesitate to leave me a question on comments or by mail. Thanks!
“My Birthday” is a huge colorful collection to decorate your layouts with the pics you’ve taken during a party! April is my month: in a pair of weeks it’ll be my birthday and I love to make a birthday-themed kit each year. This time I went toward a whimsical direction, vivid colors, a lot of flowers and word bits! I made a lot of painted elements! Again watercolored drawings, with a dreamy look, showcasing a magic tea party environment. Since this is the first collection of the month, I turned it into a “Planner” collection. Enjoy!!
See in action the Planner:
Each hybrid project requires to be printed; Then it turns to life and it becomes tangible. You now can touch it and I assure that it’s an amazing emotion! Watch the video below to see what’s included in the collection and how to use it!

Dear friends, I’m sorry sorry sorry for not having sent you my newsletter yesterday. It was a bad day. I run, run, run. Time is always too short here. The positive aspect is that yesterday night I attended to a fantastic carnival dance party, my first one after school times in the 90’s. It was so amazing!!!! I had a lot of fun, we even danced in a small competition during the party!! You really can’t imagine, we were all dressed to tribal/african girls and danced a sort of disco-tribal song!! The crowd screamed, we were over the moon. (I am sharing a few shots below);
The importance of laughing at ourselves
What I learned, even by watching to other dancing groups, is that the power to laugh at ourselves is priceless, because it makes you even more interesting and funny to other people. I’ve seen young ladies and even not so young women with no joy. My group (the fitness group which I belong to) is full of ladies who love life and keep smiling despite of problems, healthy difficulties, money troubles. I love being rounded by positive people, those who are able to take a smile from you even when you’re sad or angry. Sooooo, let’s smile to life. I dedicate to all joyous people this new colorful and happy collection!
I turned this layout into a free QP for you! Click the image below to download:

Hiromi, you are japanese, aren’t you? I wanted let you know that I’m in love with japanese culture and one of my biggest dream is going to visit Tokyo! I really can’t express the joy to know that a piece of my art will reach Japan!!
Also, today is a a release day and the new collection it’s kinda magic. It’s huge, full of drawings and unique embellishments. Due to the fact it is the first kit of the month, I made a Planner Collection; This collection includes typical packs like elements, papers, clusters, borders, word bits, album and transfers. But not only. It also contains all those specific stuff necessary to decorate and customize your planner: inserts, dividers, stickers, tabs and blocks. It is a special edition collection, a sort of mega bundle including both traditional packs and hybrid resources.
I HEART FEBRUARY
February has always been a pleasant and happy month for me, I love February. Here it’s still cold but at the same time we start having beautiful sunny days and on the roads you can breath smell of Carnival sweets and Easter biscuits. There is like a sort of “very-in-advance notice” of all those celebrations. Not to mention Valentine’s day, which is for sure one of the sweetest event of the entire month, doesn’t it? This collection is called “I heart February” and it wants to stand out, pointing on the romantic side of the month, with awesome watercolored drawings! I really put all my heart in this collection, I’m in love!! It’s huge and full of amazing stuff. As first kit of the new month, I turned it into a Planner Collection. That basically means that you can purchase the kit along with all those typical stuff to customize your planners: inserts, printable, tags and so on. Enjoy it!!
Most noteworthy, by purchasing this kit you’ll get for free also an awesome set of handmade tags. The pack of tags is an exclusive gift and it’s available only by purchasing the kit (or the entire collection); it is not available as standalone product. You are not required to add any extra product, configuration and/or coupon to be qualified to get the gift. The download link is available immediately after payment, along with the kit downloads.
My dear friends, happy new year!!! I really hope you spent a wonderful Christmas time with your beloved. I had a relaxing vacation, I’ve seen my family and had the chance to rest a little, which is the best gift. Now I am ready to start a new exciting year, with new designs. I have worked hard on this new Planner Collection! I bought a Heidi Swapp Planner and I had a lot of fun by customizing it with my own designs! If you have a cutting machine, well, you will just adore these little cute designs!
Let’s start the new year with organization
“A new Beginning” is my title. For new adventures, new hopes, new activities, new friends.. whatever you desire most! I really love to organize my daily life. It helps me to be more efficient both in personal stuff (like weekly meal plan or to-do lists) and in work as well. We live in a such frenetic world where everything runs at the light speed, and I absolutely need to make lists and to track my projects, in order to be sure that I didn’t miss a thing and to respect my deadlines. If you find your own way to get organized, the game is done.
Personally I use both digital and physical tools; For example, I combine softwares like Google Calendar or iPhone apps with my own Heidi Swapp Planner. I print and cut my own sheets where to track things to do and make sketches of new design projects. For appointments I prefer the paper planner, which is immediately consultable and I am sure to have the chance to read even if the battery of my iphone is low or the internet connection is gone. That’s my own organization method, of course. Everyone does as it sounds better.
Let’s go to show you my new designs.
As I told you, I had a lot of fun with my Silhouette Cameo!! I printed and cut my sheets, tabs, blocks, stickers, wa and journal cards! Look below:
I hope you will love combine and compose your own January Planner! Please do not hesitate to share with me! With love, Val.
